By accessing or using the Essana Health website, booking a consultation, or engaging with our telehealth services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, our Collection Notice, and our Privacy Policy.
Essana Health facilitates online telehealth consultations provided by Australian-registered medical practitioners. Consultations are available to adults (18+) residing in Australia and are designed to support personal wellness, metabolic health, hormonal health, athletic recovery, cognitive wellbeing, and healthy ageing.
All healthcare practitioners exercise independent clinical judgement and professional assessment regarding each patient's suitability for care. Any treatment or prescribing decision is made solely by the treating practitioner based on their independent clinical assessment and professional judgement. A consultation, pre-screening assessment, or fee payment does not guarantee a prescription, treatment, referral, or particular clinical outcome.
Telehealth is not suitable for all health conditions or acute medical emergencies. If a practitioner determines that an in-person physical examination or emergency care is required, they will recommend appropriate in-person medical care or specialist referral. Essana Health does not provide emergency medical services. In any medical emergency, call 000 immediately or attend the nearest hospital emergency department.
You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete medical history, lifestyle information, and medication details during intake and consultations. Withholding information or providing misleading information may compromise clinical safety and treatment appropriateness.
Consultation fees are clearly disclosed prior to booking and must be paid in full at the time of appointment confirmation. Because consultation fees cover the practitioner's dedicated clinical time and assessment, a refund is not provided merely because a practitioner determines that a particular treatment or prescription is not clinically appropriate.
Your medical records are maintained strictly in accordance with applicable Australian privacy and clinical record-keeping standards. You may request access to or transfer of your health records in accordance with our Privacy Policy and relevant health records legislation.
Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer rights or statutory guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that cannot be lawfully excluded.
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. If you have concerns regarding our service, please contact us at support@essanahealth.com.au to resolve the matter directly.
